You can earn a quick 750 Southwest points by verifying your Southwest account (if you receive an email asking you to verify your account) by May 23, 2014!
Southwest and AirTran are completing their merger November 2, 2014. Verifying your account will help them combine your accounts.
Southwest points are worth ~1.42 cents per point. So 750 Southwest points are worth ~$11 (750 Southwest Points x 1.42 cents per point) in Southwest travel. I don’t mind making ~$11 for a few seconds worth of work!
According to the fine print at the bottom of the email, the points you earn do NOT count towards the Companion Pass.
How to Get the Points
Step 1 – Check Your Email
Check your inbox for an email from “email@example.com” with the link to verify your account.
Step 2 – Click the + LINK NOW Button
Once you find the email, click the “+ LINK NOW” button in the lower left hand corner.
Your AirTran and Southwest accounts won’t be fully merged until November 2, 2014, but this will help ensure your accounts are properly combined. Check out the FAQ page for more information on the transition.
Step 3 – Verify Your Account
Confirm you’re a human by sliding the button to the right.
Then if the account listed is your Southwest account, click “Mine,” enter your zip code, and click “Submit.”
If the account listed is NOT your Southwest account, click “Not Mine,” enter your Southwest number & zip code, and click “Submit.”
That’s it! You should see this confirmation page.
Check your inbox to see if you have an email from AirTran. If you get the email you can earn a quick 750 Southwest miles by verifying your Southwest account.
The 750 miles are worth ~$11 in Southwest travel and it only takes a few seconds to verify your account!
