Southwest 50,000 Point Card Still Available!

We Fly Southwest Almost Exclusively in the US!

Chase Southwest Premier 50,000 Point Bonus

Link:   Chase Southwest Premier 50,000 Points

I wrote earlier that the Southwest 50,000 point bonus was ending, but suspected there might still be at least 1 card with the 50,000 point sign-up bonus available.  If you click on the link and scroll down, you’ll find a link to the Southwest Premier business card as well!  I’ve updated the Hot Deals tab as well with this offer.

This Chase Southwest Premier card gives you:

  • 50,000 Southwest points after you spend $2,000 in the 1st 3 months
  • 2 points per $1 you spend on Southwest and AirTran
  • 2 points per $1 you spend on Southwest hotel and car rental partners
  • 1 point per $1 you spend on regular purchases
  • 6,000 points every year on your card anniversary
  • No foreign currency fees
  • $99 annual fee NOT waived for the 1st year

You could use 50,000 points for ~$710 in Southwest flights.  And if you have the Companion Pass, you can fly your partner with you for just the $2.50 security fee and double the value of the points!

Southwest 50,000 Point Card Still Available!

Emily and I in Las Vegas, Thanks to the Southwest Companion Pass

I’m not sure how long this link will work, so if you’re thinking of applying you should probably do it sooner rather than later.

That said, every few months Chase usually brings back the 50,000 point bonus on all 4 versions of the Southwest cards.  So if you miss it this time, don’t worry!

Bottom Line

The 50,000 bonus point offer on the Chase Southwest Premier card is still available!  But I haven’t seen the Plus version of the card offer 50,000 points recently.

  1. I love the SW points program. I signed up last year for the 50k promotion and after I got it, flew SW twice. With all the other promotions they have going on, I was able to build another 35k points with almost no effort.
I also found out that because their “Wanna Get Away” fares can be really inexpensive, I tend to buy my fares and use the points when the fare gets much higher, such as flying on a Friday.

  2. This 50,000 point Chase SW Premier Business card is not shown on the Chase website (only the version good for 25,000 points there).

Can I be assured that using your link will gain me the full 50,000 point bonus and not just the 25,000 point bonus? I would hate to get a card, spend the requirement, and not get 50,000 points.

  3. Daraius, “Vanilla Visa gift cards are easiest because you can set the PIN the 1st time you use it”, Does this statement infer that once you buy a Vanilla Visa Gift card and set the PIN and use it, you can re-load the same card again at CVS and then head over to Walmart and load your Bluebird account again?

    • @UTDAD – This isn’t my link (which is for only 25K miles). Usually you get the bonus if the landing page works, but your experience can be different.

@Gordeyb – You can’t reload the Vanilla Visa cards, but can keep buying new cards to load your Bluebird!

A while back I got a direct offer from SW for a credit card with 50,000 but when I called they said the card points would not go towards a companion pass so I passed. If it wasn’t for your blog then I would not even know that the companion pass exists since I have never seen SW advertise it. Does the Chase SW card points count towards the companion pass?

  5. When is the best time of the year to get the SW cards to maximize the companion pass?

  6. Hi Darius,

I got the business southwest credit card from your link recently. If I use a balance transfer from another credit card to pay off my southwest credit card, will that effect the 50K points that I get for the minimum required spending of $2000. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

    • @Connie – It does count towards the companion pass based on my experience and reader’s experience.

@Rob – Towards the end of the year so that your companion pass is valid for ~2 years.

@Jackie – A balance transfer shouldn’t impact earning the bonus.

  7. Darius,

How often can you take advantage of the Southwest 50k promotion? Is there a minimum time one must wait after we’ve received the 50k miles before canceling the card and reapplying?

  8. I got the card and the 50,000 points. Will points transferred from Chase Ultimate Rewards to complete the SW points requirement count towards the companion pass?

  9. I think this offer is dead.

  10. It’s back… both for the personal card.

  11. I have an offer from Southwest for the Plus Credit Card. You will get 50000 bonus points. The annual fee is $69.00. There is no blackout dates and you can use the points for other peoples flights if you want. This offer is good till Sept 30, 2014. Please email me at [email protected] and I will email you the offer. 50k is good for two round trip tickets to most places.

  12. I got the premiere card back in April and spent the $2000 required to get the 50,000 points and have never received them. I’ve called on multiple occasions and have been told that they’ll show up on the next billing cycle. I got a hold of Chase today and they said I should have never been offered that promotion and now Southwest is saying the same thing. Has anyone else had this happen???
