Via Wandering Aramean, Frontier is having a 10% off sale.
You can get 10% off flights on domestic Frontier Airlines when you book by March 6, 2014. Enter promotion code “USWINSGOLD” and travel before June 12, 2014 to get the discount.
Frontier has lots of routes from Denver and other major cities, but also flies to smaller airports.
This discount is on the base price and does NOT include taxes and fees and applies only to domestic flights.
How Much Can I Save?
I checked a few flights to see how much you can actually save with this promotion.
1. Denver to San Francisco
A flight from Denver to San Francisco normally costs ~$214 total.
Note that you save 10% off the original price before taxes. So with the discount you pay ~$195. So you are only saving ~9% off the final price.
2. Denver to New York
You can save ~$21 on a flight from Denver to New York.
3. Trenton to Ft. Lauderdale
And you save ~$18 when you fly from Trenton to Ft. Lauderdale.
4. Anchorage to Ft. Lauderdale
You can save money on flights which cost more (duh!) So see if you get a good deal for any future travel which you’re planning.
The savings could add up if you are traveling with more people, such as a family of 4.
How Do I Get the Discount?
Go to the Frontier website by March 6, 2014 to book for travel before June 12, 2014.
Enter Promotion Code: “USWINSGOLD”
Click “Find My Flight.” Your discount is applied automatically.
Your savings depends upon your destination and dates of travel.
However, keep in mind that Frontier charges $20 to check bags if you pre-pay online or $25 if you pay at the airport. So this could take away any savings you might have.
I will still be using Southwest for my domestic spring flights because Emily flies with me for free with the Companion Pass. And we each get 2 checked bags for free! But this could be of use to some.
