Thanks for being the best blog readers! This week we’re giving away 20,000 Southwest points!
Emily and I LUV Southwest airlines!
We fly almost exclusively on Southwest in the US because of our Companion Pass. My Companion Pass is valid through the end of 2014 so Emily flies with me for free ($2.50 security fee per segment) on both paid and award tickets!
You have to earn 110,000 points (within 1 calendar year from January 1 to December 31) to qualify for the Companion Pass.
So 2 credit cards and a few extra points will get you almost 2 years of a Companion Pass!
Although the points you win can’t be transferred to earn the Companion Pass, you could still use them to book flights on Southwest. And remember that you can add a companion to your flight even if you used points to book the flight!
