  2. Happy Holiday to you and Emily, hope you win lots of money in Macau

  3. happy holidays

  4. Merry Christmas to you both! Hope you two are having a great Christmas in Asia.

  5. I’m not Jewish or picky but you are aware that Hanukkah was November 27th through December 5th?

    Anyway Merry Christmas !!!

  6. E & D,
Wish you a very contending Xmas and fulfilling new year ahead! Keep up the great work!

  7. Wish you very happy holidays … !! And an amazing 2014!!!

  8. Merry Christmas! I enjoyed your photos!

  9. Shout-out and thanks for DaninSTL for your sensitivity. I’m Jewish and not generally picky. I realize that Daraius was trying to be inclusive — but saying “Happy Hannukah” at this point is kind of insulting, as though Chanukah is “the Jewish Christmas” or some other kind of “winter celebration,” which it is not. “Happy Holidays” would be a more appropriate, inclusive greeting that probably resonates with all Americans, whether Christian, atheist, Muslim, Wiccan, Sikh, whatever (in no particular order), as virtually all of us celebrate or at least recognize the New Year.

  10. Dariaus & Emily- Merry Xmas, happy holidays, and wish you a healthy, happy and safe new year!
jubujoy -seriously get a life ya grinch. Why can’t people just not b*tch and whine? Who’s with me?

  11. D&E: Merry Christmas! Great pictures.

jubunojoy: have a coke and a smile, buddy. You’re what’s wrong with social media. Merry Christmas!

anita: I’m with you; Merry Christmas!

  12. Love the pics!

  13. @jubujoy, so sad. So sad.

  14. jubujoy-why do you only mention resonating with Americans? I’m sure there are Canadians and other people that celebrate holidays. See how annoying it can be when people like you force others to stop saying “Christmas tree” and replace it with “holiday tree”
Instead of “christmas party” you want it to be “holiday party”
    YES, you’re THAT GUY!
Dariaus is damned if he tries to include as many people as he can think of and damned if he doesn’t include anyone and just says “merry xmas” can’t win with you people.
I’m not in the faith that celebrates Christmas for the religious aspect but I do enjoy and buy a Christmas tree to celebrate in general. I refuse to call it a holiday tree.

  15. Sweet! Have fun in Macao. Come visit my homeland, Malaysia (especially Sabah on the Borneo island. It is the best! Haha… I am bias) some day. Keep traveling!

  16. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! You all do a great service for many people……Like my button from my Church says “it’s OK to say Merry Christmas to me!!!

  17. Merry CHRISTMAS Daraius & Emely and THANK YOU so much for for your helpful blog. Hope you are having a wonderful Christmas vacation with your family. Enjoy it and have a safe trip back home.

  18. Darius, I enjoy seeing your monthly/quarterly miles/points raids, or whatever they are called. However, I would love to see some “game plan” of what you intend to do in Q1 2014. I say this, because I have recently had some hiccups in my own strategy, for example: after being told by Chase (for the first time in 9 cards over 2 years) that I am ineligible for the SWA Premier bonus 50k points due to having had the card within 2 years. Sad times. Next thing you know, I’ll receive tax paperwork or something.

  19. Emily & Darius,

My wife and I have been following your blogs and love it so far and had our first app-o-rama.

I would second CB on “game plan” for Q1 for 2014 and would be much appreciated.

    Happy Holidays!

    Kartik & Karen

  20. Best Holiday Gram Ever!

Thanks for being you and being inclusive! Although my feelings are a little hurt that you did not include my birthday in your ‘Holiday Wishes’ as its even closer than Chanukah. Henceforth, I will call the PC police on you if you do not include my Birthday, January 10th, every year in your Blog Holiday wishes. I see that as only appropriate as it is the generalized time of year is it not? And if you happen to lump it in there without pointing me out as distinguished and special as the cream at the top of the holiday cake, well I’ll just have to play the attention card and make a fuss on here again.

  21. Merry Christmas to you too! Thank you for daring to say “Christmas” and doing your best to include everyone by saying “Happy Holidays”. Most Jews like myself are never offended by saying “Merry Christmas”. In fact, I dislike anyone trying to stifle the use of the proper name of this very important religious and historical holiday. Besides that, I believe in Christmas and will never take “Christ” out of “Christmas”! Keep up the great work you do with!

  22. Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays to Mr. & Mrs. MMS … and thank you for everything you done in 2013 🙂

  23. Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it. I think we have become overly worried about Hannakuh. We are a majority Christian country, so Merry Christmas is appropriate, IMHO. And saying Happy Hanakuh, when trying to be inclusive, it just seems there is no pleasing some people.

Happy New Year, oh,m but then again, the Chinease celebrate this at a different time, so I guess I am being culturally insensitive.

  24. Merry Christmas to all the MMSers!
I think no one intended to be ‘insensitive’ to anyone else here. Being so ‘sensitive’ to lexicons made no sense at all. Being politically correct is a game for politicians, seemingly bringing togetherness but actually the opposite. btw I am Chinese & enjoy saying Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Chinese New Year.
