  1. hope this worked :-)

  2. Just added an avatar

  3. Followed the directions (I think). Hope this works

  4. Pardon me if this is out of topic but if I posted in the old blog it will get buried away and no response. I am eager to start soon so hope you can please help:
I am new to credit card so please bear with me. I really hope you could help me with my questions below and I really appreciate it:

    1. What is the best cc for AMEX if I haven’t have any AMEX cc before? Mainly I fly to Asia (Japan, Korea, HK, Singapore) so I would like AMEX card that would allow me to use or transfer my point (at good ratio) to airlines like Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Asiana, and other airlines that fly to Asia.

    2. I saw that you posted news about AMEX Gold Premier CC promo that offers 50k bonus points after meet the minimum spending. However I also heard that some people got 75k bonus points upon approval for same cc, can you please let me know how to do this and if you have the link that direct me there it would be great, I would like to use your referral link as a way to say thank you.

    3. Does the free Hilton Gold status still available?

    4. Also for Chase Hyatt cards, one of the perks is that I will get free Platinum membership status automatically upon approval? does this require me to have or become Gold Passport member prior applying? I never have Gold Passport or membership with Hyatt before.

Will await for your reply and advice and thanks in advance.

  5. @Daniel

    1. I would say the 50k Business GOLD card would suit your needs best.

    2. AMEX offers the 75k bonus for the card approximately three times per year. Typically these are only 24 hour promotions, so you can’t really plan a churn around these deals, because (as far as I know) there isn’t a systematic process of when they are offered, it is almost at random. You could always wait, but there is no guarantee it will happen again. YMMV

    3. No this promo ended many months back. However I would add the Citi Hilton Reserve card that offers gold to as long as you have the card. The first year is waived and the $95 fee is definitely worth the gold membership. Plus if you spend $10k each year you will receive a free weekend certificate for almost any Hilton.

    4. I have had just about every Chase card besides the Hyatt. I am a Hilton guy myself so I cannot attest to this question.

    Hope this helps.

  6. I got me an avatar :P

    Merry Christmas!

  7. Thank you so much for helping , gkrebs23! I am really new to this CC churning or utilization so I want to plan and apply for CC that suits my needs, I cannot apply too much since I worry it would drag my credit score down if I got too much hard credit pull everytime I am applying.

I searched for Amex Gold 50k bonus offer thru cardmatch.com but I didn’t see the offer available for me….if you have a link I would really appreciate it.

What is the best Hilton cards that I should apply to start right now? is it the reserve card?
What do you think about this Marriott card, is it worth it:
    https://creditcards.chase.com/a1/marriottpremier/naep50p1ksh/?CELL=6475&jp_cmp=cc/7534988/ext/FBX/Adara#

How about SPG card? is it now the best time to apply? I see that they don’t have the 30k points promo anymore….they just have 25k promo.

  8. goals^n^dreams

Testing my new pic ^_^ Thanks!

  9. @Daniel D and E are on vacation, so gkrebs23 and I are trying to help out as best we can.

If the Amex Gold 50K doesn’t show up, you aren’t able to get it. I didn’t get it either. :(

The SPG 30K offer is usually in August. You may not want to wait 8 more months to get the extra 5k miles, and there is no guarantee it will happen next year anyway.

For Hilton points start with the Citi Hilton Reserve card, since that gives you Gold status as long as you keep it. That means free breakfast and room upgrades. You can apply for the AMEX Hilton card at the same time, 50K points and no annual fee.

You cannot get approved for 2 Citi cards at the same time anymore. Wait at least 2 weeks from your last Citi application, then apply for the Citi 50K points card. Citi will not approve more than 2 applications in any 65 day period, so make sure you didn’t apply for any other Citi cards of any type in the last 65 days before you apply for the second card.

The Hyatt card gives you Platinum status when you get the card, you don’t have to have any status before that. Be aware you can probably only get the Hyatt card once, and the certificates expire in a year, so make sure you have a use for them within a year when you apply.

  10. Thank you for helping out, Robert Hanson and gkrebs23!!

Too bad about AMEX 50k being strictly targeted to few people…..I hope there is a way to get it again….
Did you get the 50k bonus Alaska Airlines? I was thinking of jumping on it but there is no guarantee that they will approve me for Visa Signature or other kind of cards…if I am not accepted for Visa Signature then I have to pay the annual fee and don’t get the 50k bonus but 25k instead.

What do you think if I apply SPG cards now? both for business and personal? is it a good way to start? or is it better to wait a bit?

So what do you think is the best Hyatt card offer out there now? I know about Hilton is Reserve and Surpass but I don’t know anything about Hyatt card yet…if you could please elaborate on this I would really appreciate it and if you have a referral link I would like to use it as my way of saying thank you too.

  11. Thanks for the suggestion :)

  19. Hope this time works is my third attempt to get the gravatar image

  20. The 50K Alaska offer has expired. B of A originally meant the offer to only be for people they specifically targeted, and when they found out that many of us untargeted folks were using the application link, they shut it down.

  21. That sucks I was hoping to hold out another month for it. Oh well.
