Emily and I were at the Chicago Seminars this weekend and loved meeting everyone who attended the conference and folks who stopped by the Million Mile Secrets table!

At the Million Mile Secrets Booth!

Did You Stop by the Million Mile Secrets Table!

This was the 4th Chicago Seminars and BrianRick & Howie did a great job organizing the event.

And two weeks ago, we were at Frequent Traveler University in Tampa.

Here’s the “Introduction to Miles & Points” presentation which Mommy Points and I presented at the Chicago Seminars.  It covers important topics such as setting goals and limits for yourself before you start collecting miles and points.

And here’s the “How to Book Rental Cars for Less” which Rapid Travel Chai and I presented.  This is very similar to the presentation which we gave two weeks ago at Frequent Traveler University in Tampa.

If you’ve been collecting miles and points for more than a few years, I wouldn’t attend a miles & points conference solely to learn something new (you might learn a new trick or two), but to meet other folks who won’t roll their eyes when you talk miles and points (and share something new with you).

In my experience, the connections and conversations together with the presentations are what makes miles and points seminars great!

The Chicago Seminars will be held again in October 2014, and you can count on a few Frequent Traveler University events in 2014 as well!

  1. Darius,
I would love to meet you and Emily. Is there another east coast conference that you will be at?

  2. Ah Daraius…..

  3. Nice presentation on the rentals, but you should have recorded audio. What sort of questions came up during the presentation?

  4. I’ve never seen someone dig so deep into rental cars. The presentation and your blog post series are a great resource!

  5. @Lesli – We’d love to meet you as well. I don’t know of any other East Coast conferences now, but there is usually at least one each year on the East Coast.

@Aaron Davidson – There are no audio or video recording of the presentations unfortunately.

    @Donnie Law – Thanks!

  7. Any plans for a Kansas City conference?

  8. Daraius,

I really enjoy reading your tips and other readings. With that out of the way, time for a new tux or matching sports coat and slacks. ;-)

  15. I have already purchased my tickets for the Chicago frequent flier university in October 2014. When I went to book my hotel room it was sold out. They said they would release the name of a second hotel with a shuttle bus but I can’t find any info. Have you heard anything about this?
