  1. Hi, are you planning on writing more trip reports? I am missing them. Thank you anyway for great blog.

  2. If that girl is working on your team, I will work for $5 an hour….just saying.

  3. Wow…..where did September go? With the Chase Hyatt Card, it’s been a couple years since I last had it. Have you heard of anyone ever receiving the 2-night bonus again when reapplying after such a long time? I know the terms and conditions seem to list that it’s not possible, but wondered what your experience (or others you’ve heard from) may have been on churning it?

  4. Hey Daraius!
How exciting (or nerve-wracking) to be hiring on some help! I’ve never been able to fathom how you do it all.
You know what’d be fun is if you made it into an interactive experience with MMS readers.—Maybe readers could partake in voting to help you narrow down the candidates, like say, from 10 to 5 or 5 to 3 (or something like that) for each position. They could make up bios for you to post or something (or you could make it into another interview series). It’d be cool to track the voting with graphs or something. Obviously you could and should retain the right to veto, and obviously you should be the one to make the final decision, but this could be really fun and great for reader engagement.
Personally, it’ll be a little hard adjusting to new writers on your site. Could turn out fine, might even be an enhancement. But my concern (and I’m sure yours too) is that MMS will end up being another FTG or TPG, both of which I feel have lost the intimacy aspect and “personal relationship” with their readers.
    Just an idea…
