Thanks to Smithsonian Magazine’s ninth annual Museum Day Live!, you and a guest enjoy free entry to many participating museums, botanical gardens, art galleries, and cultural centers.
You can search for participating museums on the Find a Museum page.
Emily and I visited the Harry Truman memorial library for free during a previous Museum Day!
Just download a ticket, valid for 2 people, for your free admission. The terms say “One ticket per household, for two people.”
But you could download additional tickets with a different email address or work address.
Participating museums include (just as an example):
- GRAMMY Museum, Santa Monica Museum of Art in Los Angeles
- Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor in Honolulu
- Dallas Holocaust Museum
- The Museum of Flight in Seattle
Museum tickets are often expensive, so this is a good way to save on the price of 2 museum tickets.
Even if you aren’t traveling, you can use these free tickets to visit a museum in your city for free!
