  3. Any idea how long an account will stay st Silver status through this match? Curious if this is something that should be used strategically..

  4. Hi! I just signed up and got silver status. Do you know if they will send me a silver card to my address ?

  5. @ jb_Wilcox
I just got my account matched to Silver. It says it’ll only last 1 year until 6/20/2014. You have to earn 15 tier points to stay Silver.

  6. I tried to sign up for the Regus Gold and I was unable to, I got referred to the Red offer. Anybody get this to work?

  7. Darrius, I also signed up for this. I am hoping for a potential status with Delta in the future (although I do not fly much with them from West Coast).

  8. Daraius,

What are the current prospects on getting matched on another airline for having Virgin Atlantic silver status? More specifically, I’m asking about AS and any Star. Thanks!

  9. Looks like you won’t get a Virgin Atlantic Silver card in the mail:

“As soon as you take your first Virgin Atlantic, codeshare, or partner flight, or tip miles to your account from one of our financial partners, we’ll send you your membership card. ”

Anyone know a way around this so I can get a card?

  10. Hi Darrius, I signed up for silver today (Thanks), I am flying on a Delta award ticket next week, if I give them Virgin’s FF# at check in do you think they will honor the silver status ie: Free checked bag… Thanks

  11. Hi,
I am flying Delta in July , what can I get out of this status?

  12. Good work, I had no idea it was so simple. A caveman could do this! Just refreshed my award wallet and see the upgrade from red to silver, I feel special now.

  13. Signed up for the deal, received an email from Virgin saying, “YOU’RE ABOUT TO BE SERIOUSLY REWARDED” but haven’t seen upgrade online. How long did it take you guys to have it change?

I have Virgin Australia air miles but never flown Atlantic.

    • @Dan – You can get a 90 day match to United silver (but only once every 5 years) by emailing premiermatch@united.com or email Alaska at mileage.plan@alaskaair.com to get a status match along with a copy of your Virgin Atlantic status.

@Charlie @Leslie – There are no current benefits on Delta for having Virgin Atlantic status. But if you match to Alaska (see above comment), you could get a free bag on Delta if you enter your Alaska Air frequent flyer number.

@Will – I didn’t see it immediately, but only after logging out of my account did the status change.

  14. I logged in and out and still see RED status? should I try calling them? Anyone else have this problem? When I did the instructions above it said already registered for this promotion.

  15. Having same problem…thoughts?

  16. I’ve completed the steps but still just seeing RED status in my account? Perhaps this is dead?

  17. After getting Virgin Atlantic Silver status, you can use your membership number to request for a free complimentary Regus Businessworld Gold Card too at:
    http://www.regus.com/virgin

  18. I signed up, but it still shows red on my status.

  19. I successfully status matched to United Silver. Combining this with my trip to Brazil next month, I should keep status until early 2015.
    Thanks for the heads up!
I was also able to sign up for the regus offer although I am not sure if I will ever use it.

  20. Reverted back to red (from silver).

  21. reverted back for me as well! any thoughts on getting silver restored? I had made some plans around the status and the loss of it is seriously inconvernient. Wish I had taken a screenshot while I had the chance. Anyone have any ideas??

  22. Changed from silver back to red for me too. 🙁

  23. I have 11,000 points on Virgin Atlantic and I’m not sure what I should do with them. I have never flown on them and I don’t plan to. Do you think moving them to Hilton before they lower the transfer rate is the best bet?

  24. Thanks for the reply
