We were busy meeting family so we didn’t do much sightseeing. After shopping on Colaba Causeway, we went to the Gateway of India.

The British built the Gateway to India for the visit of King George and Queen Mary to India.

Marine Drive runs along the Arabian Sea in South Bombay. It has a long walkway, and there are lots of people exercising, couple enjoying long walks, and others just relaxing.

Emily on Marine Drive
Bombay has a great concentration of Art Deco architecture and much of it is on marine Drive.

You get a great view of the city from there!

Here’s a link to other things to do in Bombay, since we didn’t do much sightseeing on this trip.

Is this going to be another 30-post trip report??
@romsdeals Hopefully
At least these guys have trips to report, isn’t that why we all do this ? When Romsdeals has something other than gift card churning to report, maybe you will get some readers. For now I’ll stick to Millionmilesecrets, and delete romsdeals from my list!
@romsdeals: Your smiley face at the end of your obnoxious question doesn’t make it any less obnoxious.
Every night, after a long day at work, reading MMS is how I chill out and dream about my travels in the future. Keep up the great reporting. What was the temperature like during your visit? I visited Delhi during March and it was around 80-90 degrees Fahrenheit during the day. I would not go during summer.
Daraius and Emily,
Gateway of India and Marine drive are best places to go sight seeing. I used to enjoy the marine drive aka Queen’s necklace during night time and miss the drives from central mumbai to marine drive till land’s end.
Daraius i am glad you are showing emily the cool places in mumbai ! Have fun.

@romsdeals – Under 20 this time.
@Jonathan – Thanks! It was around 80 to 90 in Goa as well, but there was a nice sea breeze.
@Swap –
Why is it called Bombay and other times Mumbai. Is there a difference, please explain.
@bababooey – Bombay was the old name, and currently it is called Mumbai.
