Frequent Traveler University – November 30th to December 2nd in Los Angeles

Frequent Traveler University is coming to Los Angeles from November 30th to December 2nd!

Registration is $99 and includes lunch Saturday and Sunday.  The group rate for the hotel is $105 per night and includes internet access.

I’ll be presenting a session on getting started with miles and points and the folks smarter than me – Gary, Lucky, Beaubo, Seth, & Cranky - will talk about award bookings, what to do when things go wrong, and share a few of their favorite tips.

If you’ve been collecting miles and points for more than a few years, I wouldn’t attend solely to learn something new (you might learn a new trick or two), but to meet other folks who won’t roll their eyes when you talk miles and points.  In my experience, the connections and conversations together with the presentations are what makes miles and points seminars great!

Emily & I look forward to seeing you there!

  1. Thank you for the invitation. LOL at the this: “meet other folks who won’t roll their eyes when you talk miles and points” Get so much of that in rural Idaho. Looking forward meeting you if schedule permits.

  2. @Idaho Wood Sheds – Hope you can make it!

    Hey D!

I’ll just miss Frequent Traveler University :-(

Maybe you could make it a podcast?? Or something for us that can’t make it?

  4. I’m female from Bakersfield, looking for a female room share. Anyone out there interested in splitting costs?

  5. If so, sjgrado@yahoo

  6. @Courtney Crook - There won’t be a podcast, but I’ll cover the topics in my presentation on the blog.

  7. SO close to Chicago…no PTO left…too many trips…Blerg! ;-)

  8. @W Brian Duncan (aka IPBrian) – I know that feeling – too many points, not enough vacation!

What’s the difference between the Chicago Seminars and the FTU? If you were somewhat new at this, which one would you attend and why?

  11. @jorgeluis500 – The Chicago Seminar is sold out, so that’s no longer an option. The Chicago seminar is older and larger than FTU which is both an advantage and a disadvantage. I’d suggest attending a conference which fits in your schedule better.

  13. Daraius – why not considering “Teleconference” in the future?!

  14. @TOM – I’ll suggest that to the organizers.

  16. Booked FTU excited but the host hotel is sold out.. where would you suggest that I stay.. Totally unfamiliar with LAX and I won’t get a so I want to be able to walk to the host hotel but I want to have fun with all the people. I’m a big Priority Club Member but pretty much have points in all the hotels but if there is one that has a really good promotion that is right there that is a nice hotel I would do that too.. I’m going Solo so looking to meet lots of people and learn a ton. I’m a complete novice.
