The 9 winners of the United Club card codes, which waives the $395 annual fee for the 1st year on the United Club card are:
- Ed Dombrowski
- George Smart
- Les Silber
Please email me ([email protected]) and I’ll get you your code! You have to use the code by May 31, 2012. Thanks again to Thala for generously donating 6 codes for readers!
If you’re a United elite, you can log-in to your United account and see if you get the offer with the 1st year fee waived.
If you’re not a United elite, but would still like a code to get the $395 fee waived for the 1st year, just stop by a United Club to get the free code (you don’t have to pay to enter if you just get the code and leave). I stopped by on my way back from Frequent Traveler University and picked up 3 codes which I added to the 6 which Thala donated.
The regular offer for the United Club card offers a $95 statement credit (this is our referral link, and Emily & I are always grateful if you use it!), so you’ll still pay $300 for the card.
I wouldn’t apply for the United Club card since I’d rather get reimbursed for lounge passes via the Executives Privileges program, but this card is good for folks who regularly pay to check-in luggage on United, or who can spend lots of money on the card because you get 1.5 United miles per $1 on regular spending.
I’m still catching up on email and comments, so thanks for your patience!
