The Freddie Awards are the most prestigious loyalty program awards.  Emily and I can’t attend this year because of work commitments.  But we’ll be at the Frequent Traveler University where I’ll be presenting a session on  “Introduction to miles & points – How to get started.”

So let’s give away 2 tickets to the Freddie Awards which are  on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at the Renaissance Newark Airport!

To enter just leave either a comment,  a post on the Million Mile Secrets’ Facebook wall, or tweet me with your favorite travel loyalty program and why you think they should win a Freddie award.

I’ll pick 2 random entries from ALL of the entries when the contest ends on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at 11:59 pm.  Good luck!

  1. Hyatt
Because of the low requirements for their highest tier redemptions.

  2. I love Avois for flying all over the east coast. 🙂

  3. I like Starwood Preferred Guests Program ( coupled with the AMEX card due to the amazing flexibility!!! See you at the Freddie’s!

  4. I love Starwood because they have great hotels in great locations.

  5. Starwood because of great availability and ability to use points and cash.

  6. Dividend Miles because of the flexibility USAir gives when booking awards, such as routing through Europe to get to Asia, etc. Also lower mileage redemption levels than many other airlines. Finally, because they’re part of Star Alliance, there are tons of options for booking trips to just about every part of the world.

  7. AAdvantage, because you can book one way awards and tack on a free trip. The website to book awards and easy to use and very accurate. Awesome program!

  8. United cause I live in Louisiana and that is the best airline out of Lafayette, and the new United site is great for New Travel Virgins such as myself and I want to travel every month and I’m dying to learn more and more and more on how to get miles and travel the cheapest and most best way there is.. I would love to attend your lecture and ask all my questions once and for all.

  9. aeroplan for the memories and routing

  10. CHASE Ultimate Rewards due to the flexibility to transfer the points whenever and wherever I need.

  11. United Mileage Plus for flexible routing and global reach.

  12. United Mileage Plus – for the vast variety of award redemption possibilities.

  13. I like the Priority Club 5000 point pointbreak hotel redemptions that allow for great long weekend getaways!

  14. American Airlines because of their double RDM and EQM promos

  15. After updating their program this year, SPG!

  16. Spg because of cash and pts

  17. My favorite program travel loyalty program is Chase Ultimate Rewards because I’ve been saving them up for a big trip to Southeast Asia this fall and I’m almost have enough points for roundtrip in business on United and partners. I should win one of the Freddie Award tickets because I’m currently in my final semester of law school and getting ready for finals and graduation, and honestly could definitely use the break to attend the Freddie’s. I’m fairly new to the miles/points game, just started churning and earning miles in November but already have 400K, would love the opportunity to learn more from the best. Plus, I live in New York City, so the trip out to Newark would be as easy as taking the train from Penn Station.

  18. Chase Ultimate Rewards by far because of the many partner transfer options it has. Two of my favorites, Hyatt for great hotel redemptions at low point cost and similarly Southwest for budget air travel for our family using low points combined with companion passes.

  19. AAdvantage is my family’s favorite, because we gained status for life. Of course, with the upcoming merger with US Airways, that “for life” part may mean “for life of AAdvantage.” 🙁

  20. My favorite is US Air. I love the grandslam. It’s a game. I’m one of those people who puts one coin at a time in the toll booth–one less coin than required makes my day.
Also since their CRs are so geographically challenged, I can often get crazy routes.
And last but not least, this year they failed to deduct miles for a flight in SEA. They did so many credits and debits with that partner trip that it ended up a wash.

  21. Starwood because of the bonus miles received when transferring from starpoints to airlines.

  22. Delta Airlines – While redemption is horrendous, their elite program, benefits, in flight service are great, especially if mostly a US domestic flyer. Free same day changes at the 50k level, free award changes at the 75k level, and wifi on most flights.

  23. TheNextPuddingGuy

The former USAirways shopping mall and the daily churnable 2500 mile signup bonus from one of their merchants. RIP.

  24. AAdvantage for fast and knowledgeable customer service unlike Dot Bomb.

  25. AAdvantage for all the great benefits to elite flyers – systemwide upgrades with no restrictions, waived fees for Executive Platinums and domestic upgrades for EPs if they are available

  26. To be honest, my favorite program is the one that gives me the best possible redemption options that meet my traveling needs. Diversify, diversify, diversify!!!

  27. AA is the best because they have less restrictions on their SWUs.

  28. Starwood—they continue to set the pace.

  29. Hotels: Club Carlson–bc redemptions are easy & cheap, and points are easy to earn; Airline: USAir bc the Grand Slam rocks & upgrades are normally pretty easy

  30. Southwest Airlines because they’ve always had the reward flights when I want them. And they don’t nickle and dime you to death.
