1.  30 minutes free Wi Fi on American Airlines. I got an email from American Airlines which promises 30 minutes of free wireless internet, up to February 16, 2012, access on planes which are equipped with Wi Fi.

30 minutes works great for short flights, but either way, it should be enough to get your daily Million Mile Secrets fix!

2.  1,000 free Hilton points for text spam. Via Deals We Like, you can get 1,000 Hilton points if you sign up for text messages from Hilton and have a US issued Visa credit card.

I’ll be passing on this since I don’t have an unlimited text message plan and I don’t want to receive 2 text messages a week from the fine folks at Hilton.

But something tells me, I’ll change my mind later this week!

  1. Isn’t there a way to use gmail to receive text messages?

There is no way I’ll give Hilton my cell phone number, but if I could give them another number that Hilton would think was my cell, and that could verify their test message, I’d do that in a heartbeat.

  2. You can use Google Voice (which would be tied to your gmail) to receive the text messages. You can optionally have them forwarded to your cell phone, or in this case, ignored.

  3. Spoke too soon, seems to not be working for me with Google Voice
