$2,409 For Virgin Upper Class Return Ticket In August

New FlyerTalk member yankeeboy7 (thanks, yankeeboy7!) posted about $2,011 return Virgin Atlantic Upper Class (that is what Virgin calls their Business Class service) from New York (JFK) to London Heathrow (LHR).

To get the $2,409 all-inclusive price with taxes and fees, you have to select the option WITHOUT the Chauffeur-driven ground transportation option. The price jumps up to $5,000+ if you select the option with a chauffeur-driven car.

Virgin Atlantic Upper Class – Lots of Cheap Flights in August

So if you’re in the market for a business class trip from New York to London, this is a pretty good deal.  The Virgin Upper Class lounges and flights are terrific – read Lucky’s very detailed reviews about those lounges and flights.

This may be a mistake (or is just a low?) fare, so DON’T call Virgin to confirm the price, because that will bring unnecessarily attention to the deal and risks Virgin adjusting the price.  Just book it online instead!

  1. I don’t think this is mistake fare. I search for the same route using Amex travel website, and find that the fares for different airlines, like AA, BA, Delta, are all around $2400 for business class from JFK to LHR in August.

  2. @Jong – You’re right, the other airfares do show up as ~$2400 in August. However, Virgin prices it as nearly double with the chauffeur transfer and they don’t usually sell Upper Class for $2,400, so this is a pretty good deal for travel on Virgin!

after the $2600 limo ride, what should I tip the driver?

  4. @James – I hear your firstborn is acceptable for that kind of fare.
